Explore
Thousands of limestone pillars rise from yellow sand dunes, creating an otherworldly landscape.
Formed from ancient seashells around 25,000 to 30,000 years ago, some of these spires stand up to 3.5 meters tall. Visitors can explore the formations on foot or by vehicle.
Daytime temperatures frequently exceed 35°C (95°F) in summer, so bring a wide-brimmed hat, sturdy walking shoes, and drinking water. Sunsets and night skies free from light pollution make evening visits very popular.
